The Best of Liquid & Deep in July 2020

Introducing new series The Best of LIQUID & DEEP, we bring you the first special mix showcasing fresh selection of the most interesting Liquid and Deep Drum and Bass tracks for the month of JULY. The mix consists of the best 5 tunes from each style, so we pick only 10 tracks for whole month! Here, you will find songs from the well-known labels as such as works from upcoming producers. Check out the tracklist, where the links to buy or stream are included.

Calming your minds at the beginning of the mix with ‘Daydreamer’ remixed by LSB you get lost in the vocals of Charlotte Haining. Suddenly, you hear something much more heavy, a percussive palette that rolls and rolls. Wake up from the dream, this is also dark deep mix. This one is a surprise called ‘Sacred’ by Levela, mixed with Low:r and Hiraeth with lulling instrumentals from the Low:r’s debut EP on Program. This month, there is batch of wicked tunes from DRS. ‘Back & Forth’ featuring S.P.Y and Dynamite MC is just a taste from upcoming album ‘Playing In The Dark’ on Hospital Records. Next one is Suv, back on V Recordings together with US producer KC, appearing firstly on V, delivering bubbly, peak time roller ‘Deny’. Vocalist Paul Charles gives touching and soulful vocal performance and fast-rising Brazilian star L-Side gives his harder twist on the original.

Moving to the second half of the mix, soulful fans will be pleased with talented Polish producer Satl and his ‘So Much Better’ from the debut project ‘4Lyfe’ on Integral Records. The following track titled ‘Chainsaw’ is an absolute weapon, made by Invadhertz, released on Delta9 Recordings as a part of ’Orange Box’ VA. Continuing with another DRS tune, this time featuring T95, released on Overview Music as one of their biggest releases to date. Now let’s melt it down, there are last two Liquids left. Firstly, newcomer female producer Dilemma with ‘Spiral’ from her debut EP on Soulvent ‘Exit Stage Left’ brings long piano chords, soothing harmonic arrangement unfold with warm low end. Secondly, we just had to choose from huge Hospitality House Party compilation released at the very end of July, from where we picked Villem, Leo Wood – ‘We Had A Song’. This piece is a 2020 adaptation of a classic by The Roots – ‘You Got Me’ featuring the legendary Erykah Badu.

We would like to point out some amazing releases which could not fit into the mix:
